But then, what is the difference between a regular apr based credit card and a regular balance transfer. You can get an introductory rate of 0 percent with a balance transfer for certain duration of time. There are issuers that allow you credit cards with 0 interest on balance transfers for a period ranging between 6 months and 12 months. There are card issuers that allow their clients even more than 12 months 0 percent interest but they are an endangered lot in the current economy. An APR rate on a credit card is the rate that the card holder will pay if they fail to pay the balance in full at the end of the month.
